I'm looking forward to Children of Earth next week but it was nice to get another radio play today to wet the appetite. Loads of PC Andy and Gwen in this one, so I'm assuming the other radio plays will balance that out so all three Torchwood staff and Rhys will get a fair crack of the whip (obligatory Ooo, Arh, Missus).
Not much Jack/Ianto in this one but Ianto did have some good snark and I'm sure Jack's knife throwing game of Darts will pop up in fic.
The Andy arc in this one was inconsistent within the play itself but the story does lead to a Torchwood with a more humane asylum policy, which is a good thing in the long run.
A simple human-ish drama story was probably the way to go to complement rather than compete with next week's epic five parter, not least to remind us, after the long break, why we love these characters. Gwen and Andy got to play centre stage here and were Gwen and Andy and I enjoyed it.
And am looking forward to another tomorrow.

In other news, I'm a drilling machine, in that I managed to install the new loo roll holder, despite that doing so involved having to drill through two layers of glazed ceramic tiles (thanks previous inhabitants of my flat) and the concrete walls behind them. It does have to be admitted that finally getting round to doing it in a heatwave was perhaps not the smartest call, but at least I now have a suitably Art Decco and horizontal loo roll holder.

Hello love! It's been ages! I'm most excited about the new Torchwood - they're fast-tracking it to Oz so we're getting it here from next Tuesday! I look forward to it. I noticed Peter Capaldi's in it; I quite like Peter Capaldi.

I too, frantically applaud your drilling accomplishments!

Thanks, mate:) It should be a blast.

Unlike the drilling, which was merely dusty, very dusty.
