So we get BTVS S6 with 100% more plot and in a two for one 100% less self-pitying whining crossed with a shed load of Ghost Rider of the Garth Ennis variety and a side order of that is not my beautiful Ruby though it is The Car even though its been podded.

I don't know if it was the copy I got but a few more fifty pence pieces in the meter would have helped as it was hard to see what was going on most of the time, but the bringing Dean back with through actual plot was good. Not Ruby can always be replaced with one with good delivery and more 'tude. Dean was hot and his reunions with Bobby, Sam and his car were precious. I could really have done without woman who owns her sexuality being blinded after coming on to the boys, even if it was done to show Castiel blinding people on the boys side as well as the demons, as the show has hit rather too many bad gender tropes in recent seasons to pile up more at this point. I'm also unsure about this God business as I'm not sure how far a US network can or would go in following the Garth Ennis type Ghost Rider storytelling to the one side is as bad as the other necessary to walk the walk rather than borrow the images. I hope they do - just as I hope the race and gender issues the show's had get sorted - as that is a story that I always find interesting.

But in the meantime, an intriguing start.

Now, to Smallville or not to Smallville, that is the question.

LOL, you do have a way with words!

I loved the premier, though I, too, miss our!Ruby. I'm really intrigued with where TPTB are going to take the angel. If he's a warrior angel like the Archangel Michael, he'll be a serious asskicker.

I love this show so much.

I try my best. Then I rest for five minutes and go again;)

There's definitely interesting places they can go with Castiel. It'll be very much down to writer and network guts.

The ghost rider link is a really interesting one. I did not think of that and I am a lot intrigued by the fact that the story team is finally getting down to brass tacks and bringing to the fore the fact that in world with demons, there is an opposite and they may not always be as good as we mere mortals would imagine. This could get really good.

For what it is worth, I missed most of last season and I was completely confused, but I did like this ep of Smallville. Of course I had no clue what was going on for the most part, but if you have been watching it might be worth a watch. If only to tell me that it is good that I had no clue what was going on because it was pants. :)

There's always been a dash of modern GR in the show but bringing in angels doing things that hurt people definitely brings that thread in the show's make-up to the fore. I just hope they make the most of the potential.

I did give SV a go. There was some good Justice League stuff but I'm really missing Lex. Also, Pookiac.

Yeah the plot was great and I'm glad to see we get a Ruby if not the Ruby, but wasn't that the worst act0ring you've ever seen on telly from the boys?

I thought it was, it really was, at least since I stopped watching SMG on a regular basis. Even Bobby! and I like Bobby. OTOH, the girl was cool before she got blinded.

On SV, it broke my heart to hear them say Lex's name fifteen hundred million times but wow it was worth it for the new cast member, who can act0r and iz hot.

Faux Ruby's 'acting' made everyone else look good in comparison, so the boys didn't stand out badly for me.

I wish they hadn't blinded her. I really do. The show needs more Gender Pluses in its balance sheet right now not more Fails.

Unexpected Recap Pookiac! was cool too:)

Yes she was a bad act0r, but honestly I was so grateful she wasn't blind or dead I didn't mind...

Score one for the laydeez \o/

There was lots that I liked, though the lousy Ruby and the sexy psychic getting blinded made me groan.

I do wish the show would do better in such easy to avoid areas. Oh, Show.

The show always seems to be a bit dark (in terms of being able to see what's going on).

I must be the only person who thought Not!Ruby has better delivery than Ruby 1.0.

I had the curtains drawn and still struggled to see what was happening at times.

Possibly;)
