Torchwood From Out Of The Rain

That was rather deliciously creepy and atmospheric, as one would expect from Sapphire and Steel guy. It was a tad slow but that did work well with the creepy. Plus Carnival! Jack! backstory, Film Buff! Ianto with side order of teariness when they save the one kid after failing the rest of the victims. Good Fakeout that No Breath! Owen! might be the solution as the man that could take them out without being taken. Nice Gwen, Owen, Ianto trip out as work mates to the latter's interest with side order of friendly bantery snark. Lots of Jack and Ianto working out the problem and the solution. And a suitably Whovian death count among the victims/minor characters. Good stuff.

Though I can't be the only Whovian who wibbled at the thought of destroying old film cannisters, after the burninations, and wanted to make sure that they and the car boot sale people check the reels for Fury From The Deep, Web, Macra Terror, Power, Evil, Highlanders, Myth Makers...
Cries all over again at what's lost to us.

Yes, my first thought was that it looked like the old S&S episode with the photographer's studio.

Jack and Ianto were very much S&S in this one.

I definitely wibbled when Ianto got all teary-eyed. How I love that office boy. ::sigh:: The ep was definitely creepy, right from the get go, but definitely really good. I do have to wonder who it was that Jack was working for when he went undercover at the carnival. Hmmmm....

I suspect it was the Torchwood of back then.

Hello you! I'm new here (Torchwood-wise) and mentioned I wanted to find some fic. The lovely Lori suggested that you'd be the go-to girl for what's good and what's not. As you have excellent taste I concurred and here I am, needy little beast that I am, begging bowl in hand. So... what's good here? Have you written something maybe? Because that would be spectacular!

Welcome to the show:) I'm glad you're enjoying it. I haven't written any -yet at least. I also don't have any recs as I've been enjoying the show so much that I haven't been reading much if any fic. sorry to be so useless.
