At this rate it's going to be the first year everyone walks out.
Supernatural I don't think that Dean told Sam everything. Somehow I suspect that will wait for sweeps. I think he told him enough of the bad stuff to get him off his back but there is more to come, especially on the demon-spawn side of things.
About which, Ava, so phoning home with the whole cut throat routine.
I do wonder if the spawn that don't get the fires are those whose mothers knew they were consorting with a demon and the children whose mothers burnt up are those that slept with what they thought was their partner but who was possessed at the time and the annointing of the child with the mother's blood/incinerating mom was the rite to finish the hybridisation.
I suspect Jo's the one that blabbed, especially if they've decided against a ship, which is a shame if its down to fandom not wanting a girl ship.
Though a pissed off about being used Ash is a possibility as the blabber.
I also wonder if they're saving the flashbacks of the John-Bill hunt for a flashback episode for a sweeps stunt. It would let them do that story, apply it back to the boys and deal with JDM's busy schedule as it lets him stay dead.
It was good to see Gordon back. He's a good shadow double for Dean, a scary ass antagonist and handy means of expositing the worst case scenario if Sam falls to the darkside. As he's clearly a determinist non-free will type I was more than happy to see Dean beat the crap out of him and Sam call the cops - which was the best thing for reassuring his brother, though shooting his ass is the sensible long term thing to do because sweeps is sweeps, he's going to be back again. Feeds him to Lenore's deserving vamps.
It did add to the stakes that he did beat both boys and was smart. Making the opposition dumb and easily defeated is not the way to build an enemy.
I don't know if it was the long break between episodes or that I'm still in total Who-mode but I wasn't blown away by the episode.
It might be the Samcentricity of it. But that is only fair after the serial killer ep where Dean carried it. And poor JP. That cast is still there. A girl has to respect anyone carrying on co-leading a show with two regulars and a broken arm. Glares at any lead in a big ensemble that whinges and points to the SPN boys.
But there was still the Oh, Dean! moments.
Feeds him some brownies and hits Amsterdam with him.
While Smallville managed to show there's always more down.
As well as far too much horrifyingly bad plastic surgery in Hollywood. Tori Spelling thinks that upper lip is attractive? Shudders.
A moving car can kill water? Purlease.
Lex taking the bitch after that speech. Purlease.
Chloe not giving them all a good piece of her mind. Purlease.
Lois/Clark, the anvils, they hurt.
Ollie. I hate to say it, as it's so sexist, but keep to getting your shirt off. Any other time, you're incredibly tiresome.
It's a sad, sad thing when the best thing in the show is Troy Vandergraff masquerading as Jimmy Olson.
And most important of all, many, many thanks to the lovely
ljs She knows why.
